Our neighbour always has an overflowing general waste bin. Again the lid is sitting at an almost 90degree angle and she has stuffed it with all sorts of stuff. She has also placed two bags of shite on top of my bin! Collection is today and I can see them refusing to take it with extra rubbish on top! Aibu to be really annoyed, the local tip is open and they have 3 cars and no disabilities apart from laziness!

Take her bags and put them by her bin.

WorraLiberty · 25/08/2019 14:35

YANBU but surely you've taken her bags away from your bin?

dollydaydream114 · 25/08/2019 14:35

YANBU. Take the bags off your bin and put them next to hers. Or leave them on her doorstep. As you say, the bin collectors probably won’t take your bin if there are bags sitting on top of it.

CarrieBlu · 25/08/2019 14:35

What’s stopping you taking the stuff she’s put in your bin and dumping it back on top of her bin, or on her doorstep? No point in just getting wound up and ranting on here about it, do something that gets the message across loud and clear.

Likethebattle · 25/08/2019 14:39

Oh that’s happening i’m on my way out and will be taking the bags off.

HotChocolateLover · 25/08/2019 14:39

Another one here not sure why you’re moaning about the extra bags on here. Just move them to next to her bin. Maybe carry a Stanley knife which could ‘accidentally’ split them open 😂

Likethebattle · 25/08/2019 14:43

Her bag are now on the ground, they seem to be stuffed with duvets and pillows. She can deal with them. Ffs she is always a cheeky ducker about her bin. It’s always overflowing and she always puts it in the pickup space for our house because she parks across her drive.

I had this with some CFs over the road at my old house putting their bags of rubbish in my bin. When I finally found out whose rubbish it was, I took the last lot of bags out, knocked on their door and when they pretended they weren't in, I left the bags on their doorstep.
They never did it again.

HappyHammy · 25/08/2019 15:06

Make sure your bin has your house number on it. Good that you've taken her bags off, I would be tempted to wheel her bag onto her drive or pavement area.

timshelthechoice · 25/08/2019 15:08

Stick her bags next to her bin then. Fuck her.

Likethebattle · 25/08/2019 15:27

Our bins are painted so no chance of getting stolen. She parks to make it easier for her but inconvenience everyone else as we end up Having to swerve out round her Angry. This bags better not be placed back on top when I get home!

and when they pretended they weren't in, I left the bags on their doorstep.

Haha I had that with a someone putting bags of household rubbish in my skip. I went through the bags until I found an address - it was a house two doors away. Brought the bags back, knocked on door, they pretended they weren't in so I went back to the pavement and flung the bags so they burst on the drive.

(loony short fuse!)

Drabarni · 25/08/2019 15:39

put them on her door step.

TabbyMumz · 25/08/2019 15:41

You are unreasonable for saying she has no disability, because you cant be 100 per cent sure of that.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/08/2019 15:43

You need to push her bin right outside her drive every time it is in your space .
And lob her over flow bags onto her drive for good measure .
CF Shock

We got a skip a couple of weeks ago and withing 30 minutes of it being delivered some git had put three bags into it , we hadn't even used it ourselves . I was all for lobbing them back out but DH said leave them.

Mumsymumphy · 25/08/2019 15:47

At my old house we had a communal area where we had to leave our bins. I was livid because every week on collection day I'd go to get my empty bin and someone would have put rubbish in it 😡 I saw them doing it one week - it was the person whose house was nearest to the communal area. And my bin was never the last one there either. Bring on the bin war!

So the next week I went to collect my empty bin - yes there was rubbish in it. So I picked the wheelie bin up/turned it upside down (no mean fete in itself!) and tipped the rubbish outside their house. Never happened again.

Gruzinkerbell1 · 25/08/2019 15:48

Shove the bin back at the end of her drive, whether she’s parked there or not.

Likethebattle · 25/08/2019 15:51

@TabbyMumz well she can still drive as she does it everyday and she can chuck her bags in the skips as I saw her fly tip her rubbish into the builders skip recently so if she has a hidden disability it is not one that prevents her from taking her junk to the tip 5 minutes away!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/08/2019 15:53

Shove the bin back at the end of her drive, whether she’s parked there or not

Especially if she's parked there , she'll have to make the effort to move it before she can move a car .

And don't forget to wipe that butter/Vaseline/honey/Sudocream off your hands before you move it yourself .

Totally off the point but collections on a Sunday? Is this a regular thing or a BH change . What about people who are away at weekends ? Do they just clog up the street with bins or do they have somewhere to put them that isn;'t on the NDN areas

Nicolastuffedone · 25/08/2019 15:55

Well surely even with a hidden disability, someone in a house with three cars could take the rubbish to the tip, or place it in their own bin!!! FGS....you can’t say anything on here sometimes!!

INeedAFlerken · 25/08/2019 15:58

Beyond cheeky.

But she doesn't care what you think, so you shouldn't either when you 'return' her bags in an inconvenient manner

Likethebattle · 25/08/2019 16:03

Yep collection is a Sunday, bit of a pain if the lorry passes at 7.30 and you want a lie in lol

AlexaAmbidextra · 25/08/2019 16:09

Why is there always one? 🙄. If OP sees her neighbours going about their daily lives, driving, carrying shopping in etc. then I think she’s safe to assume that there is no physical or mental impairment significant enough to stop them from lifting sacks of rubbish into their car and pointing said car in the direction of the local tip.

RosaWaiting · 25/08/2019 16:11

OP bin lock?

I'd ring the doorbell and say "I've brought your rubbish back" and put it on the doorstep.

TabbyMumz · 25/08/2019 16:12

Im presuming she may have so much rubbish because she isnt recycling. I have a family member who can drive, but gets confused due to a brain issue so just doesnt 'get' recycling. She can drive to the shops, but I have to tell her a million times where to out her cans. So she may have a hidden disability.
