To wonder if there are summer fabrics that don’t crinkle easily

Most of the time I wear jersey type fabrics but when it’s hot I find them to warm. Everything cotton I have crinkles the second I wear it and I hate that. I also really dislike polyester fabrics. Is there any light fabric that doesn’t crinkle easily?!?

Long time sewist here.

Natural fabrics like cotton and linen will crease, especially in less humid weather - you can't get away from that.

Non-crease, or low crease, fabrics are either synthetic or treated with a finish (sometimes called 'size') which often washes out giving you more creasing on the second wearing. You can't get away from that either.

The secret to comfort in hot weather is to wear loosely woven breathable fabrics. You aren't going to be able to tick all your ideal fabric boxes so I advise you be philosophical and try not to sweat too much about a few creases Grin

Creases will come to us all.......
