I was told by a family member "You need to do some something next year so you can say you achieved something. ' 😐

I am 34, single, no kids (Dont want them, one reason being I don't want to pass my ulcerative colitis onto them ) and have a job but a low paying one in childcare.

By most people's definition I would be seen as unsuccessful. I am single, no kids, very low paid job. But it doesnt need to be said outloud and I don't want their pity for my sad life as they see it.
Thank you for the kind words x

Being a good, kind person is the only thing that matters ultimately. Don't listen to doucebags and don't let them get to you. Live your best life @IceAndASlice123 (as the kids say these days!)

@IAmALazyArse You are fast becoming one of my fave posters.

Define success in your own terms. If there are things you want to do, then sure, reach towards them. If you're happy with your life, then don't change a thing.

Ignore the twats who tell you how to live, it says more about them than it does about you.
