New job/new unisex toilet

So, just left old job with unisex toilets and feeling utterly pissed off (no pun intended) due to the disgusting state the men left the toilets in.
Started a new job and once again, unisex toilet. There is only one toilet as it's a fairly small office.
Went in there yesterday to find the seat up and piss all over the seat, the floor everywhere like a bloody swimming pool. And it stank.
I just couldn't use it, I felt sick and why should I clean up someone elses piss before I use the toilet.
The other guys who use the toilet (they are all men apart from me) are also outraged because they don't want to use a pissy loo either and they feel bad for me.
They've all been in to say it wasn't them and they are sorry.
Nobody is saying anything to the culprit but I think this should come from one of the men, I don't think it would come well from me as I'm not his wife and it's a blokes issue.
AIBU to ask the men to talk to him and sort it out.

The other men aren’t the man who is doing its wife either!

Talk to your line manager and ask them to tackle to issue.

GaraMedouar · 24/08/2019 07:38

YANBU. The other men won't want to use a pissy toilet either so if they know who the culprit is surely they can speak to him rather than the new 'naggy' woman causing trouble. What about the manager? Can they speak to pissy man? Shouldn't be down to you. I hate unisex toilets, luckily my work has male and female still.

Isleepinahedgefund · 24/08/2019 07:39

So you know who it is? Definitely report to management and have them deal with it.

Sunshineglitterandbubbles · 24/08/2019 07:39

Just talk to your line mananger.

Its a bit unfair to expect the men to tackle it because they are men. If it was a female who was leaving sanitary products around the toilet, would it be reasonable to ask you to tackle it just because you are female?

madcatladyforever · 24/08/2019 07:55

definitely, I wouldn't expect the blokes to talk to a woman about sanitary products!! So embarrasing for them.

Isn't the fact the toilets are unisex a bit of a red herring? Yes, men are more likely to misdirect urine, but in my experience it's hovering women who are generally the culprits for spraying faeces over the seat.

Your problem is that one of your colleagues is disgusting and doesn't care enough about the rest of you to leave it in a decent state. If I ruled the world people like this would be publicly shamed and taken back to clean up after themselves.

I have never, ever, in my entire life, ever seen faeces on the seat of a toilet. Where on earth are you visiting to see it so often??

OP line manager, they need to sort it. Gross.

averylongtimeago · 24/08/2019 08:12

In all my years of using public toilets I have never seen shit sprayed on a toilet seat!
Perhaps this happens in the men's?

Applejack5 · 24/08/2019 08:31

You need to inform the manager and let them deal with it. Do they have a cleaner in regularly too?

Some people are so inconsiderate and disgusting 🙄😠

Sexnotgender · 24/08/2019 08:33

That is revolting!

Also never seen faeces sprayed on the seat!

BlockedAndDeleted · 24/08/2019 08:36

Why would it be more embarrassing for a man than a woman and why would a woman have to tackle the issue if she were not in a position of responsibility and a man was?

Pollywollydolly · 24/08/2019 08:37

if you know who the culprit is then tell him yourself. In public!

Sicario · 24/08/2019 08:40

Men don't wash their hands either. Door handles. Flush handles. Ew.

YummyFoodie · 24/08/2019 08:50

Women are absolutely revolting, so don't be sexist. I've worked in a couple of well known big companies and the ladies' toilets were in a disgusting state. Think pees, pubes and poo crumbs on the toilet seat. Giant skid marks or actual soup of feces left in the toilet bowl. In every cubicle there is a note asking to be clean up. I really feel for the cleaners, this really made me resent people as a species (not permanently, just when visiting the loos). Confused

brighteyeowl17 · 24/08/2019 09:02

Speak to HR/manager

skybluee · 24/08/2019 10:11

.. soup of feces ..
Envy

Sounds vile.
I will never understand people who leave toilets in a state.
I don't mean poo down it so much, I mean stuff all over the floor, seat etc. I don't get the mindset. If you make that mess, surely you clean it up. Horrible.
