AIBU that people have become sensitive to minor inconveniences?

Sensitive may be the wrong word but I'm tired and can't think of a better one.

Over the last week I've been witness to some minor inconveniences which have people literally FUMMIN

Most recent is this morning. We are currently at a caravan site using it as a base to explore the area. Last night the air ambulance landed about 400m away. It felt like an alien 👽 invasion, and was about 0030. Static shaking, loud noise, dog barking and wigged out. I was woken and kept awake by it for around an hour when they took off again. Went back to sleep.

Went for a swim this morning and breakfast and it's the talk of the site but not "oh my gosh something major must have happened poor family" but "I was woken up" etc.

Ambulances are getting shitty notes left on them about their parking when attending emergencies frequently now and paramedics getting hassled to move when doing CPR was recently in the press.

A fire engine went down our very narrow and double parked street the other day (was attending an incident on our street) and took off someone's wing mirror - the owner went ballistic for ages despite someone coming to him immediately explaining it would be repaired as they would pay etc.

I don't remember people being like this? When did it happen or has it always been this way? Have I been living with rose tinted glasses on?

Unfortunately we now live in a very selfish society with a lot of people having no consideration for anyone else but themselves. I despair at the selfishness of the people who hassle the emergency services to move their vehicles and leave abusive notes. I always think that these people should ask themselves 'what if it was the otherway round and an ambulance had come to out to a member of my family and parked blocking in my neighbour. How would I feel if the said neighbour then came and bollocked me because they couldn't get out of their drive'. These people are so up their own arses that they do not stop to think before they create bad feeling and make themselves into a laughing stock.
