To ask for a hand hold

I’ve changed name as the details are fairly outing.
My lovely mum has had terrible headaches and visual hallucinations for a few months. She’s just had a brain scan and a mammogram due to a previously having breast cancer. The mammogram was fine but she hasn’t had the head scan results yet. The man scanning her said he couldn’t see anything obvious but her doctor hasn’t actually given her the full results.
I’m so worried and can’t think of anything else it could be but metastatic breast cancer which is obviously what they are looking for. I’ve hardly slept tonight and feel scared. I thought starting a thread would be a better alternative to googling again Sad

Didn't want to read and run. Hand hold, OPThanks

Please try to be optimistic, maybe the results won't be what you think! Sending my love

Hand hold incoming..... Flowers sorry I've no medical advice but wanted to send you some love and calming energy. It must be a very worrying time. Best thing you can do is hold out for the test results, when is your mum due to get them?

Worriedandsleepless · 23/08/2019 10:03

They didn’t say when the results are due. I actually went back to sleep for a couple of hours at 6 ish so do feel slightly more rational.
I just can’t think of what else it could be except cancer although I’m not medical so maybe it’s something much less serious. I have googled over the last couple of weeks which was unhelpful and silly of me.
She has a history of depression too and they also sent her for a psychiatric assessment and that was fine so it’s not anything related to her mental health (which is good but it again leaves very few explanations as to why she is seeing things).
Thanks for the replies. They’ve given me some comfort
