Revolutionizing fake tan

Having not used fake tan for 10 years I saw adverts for a new brand 'revolutionizing' it.
Er nope, it still stinks.
The only difference is you use a primer (everyday fake tan plus moisturizer) and a brush to buff the mousse in.
I should have known as the word smell was absent from all marketing.
Also sheets a bit orange and I dare not go to the gym for fear of orange sweat beads.
Aibu to think fake tan is still shite?

It is.
I’ve tried so many kinds, and I’ve gone from the awful teenage days of dark inbetween my fingers, streaks down my arms before a night out clubbing/Date, to now, when I can achieve a relatively subtle glow to my pale freckly skin on an occasional basis. But my God, the pain of getting there! Sweltering to death in a black onesie overnight to try and stop my sheets getting ruined. Falling over in the shower using a well known brands ‘in shower’ tan (still rubbish). My Mums strange triumphant comments of ‘you’ve got fake tan on again, I can smell it’. Damnit Mother.

Sigh.

I used one called Bondi Sands! Liquid gold one. It was really good actually! Not an avid user but tried many throughout the years and this one is great.

The clarins one where you mix it with moisturiser is really good for a light colour!

I love my fake tan.

Lovely glow, smells like coconut (the cheaper the tan the worst the smell)
Also, doesn't "sweat" off lol.

I love a nice glow, makes me feel and look better in my eyes.
I'm pasty white and never catch the sun and would rather not sun damage my skin any way as don't need to make myself look older any quicker as well as the other dangers.

Each to their own I guess.. 🍊

I love the st tropez in shower one, or gradual moisturiser they do. Never come out orange or streaky. Smells way less than most brands but there's still a scent to it...but I actually quite like that.

try Skinny Tan tan & tone oil, its fantastic!

PrincessPeachy23 · 22/08/2019 09:50

Have you tried st tropez express tan? You apply and leave for up to 3 hours depending on how dark you want to go then go in the shower and rinse it off with just water. I love it, no more sleeping in bed feeling all sticky and gross and smelly. Gives a lovely colour too and is even, even on my hands

Isle of Paradise for me at the moment, really enjoying the results and it's easy. Vita Liberata is also great, very natural
