So I made payment and invoice was paid, but company are saying solicitors already filed for CCJ and cannot stop it, even though payment was made!

Surely solicitors can stop this?

Yes, they can and should otherwise wasting court time. Write to solicitors.

Yes, they can. They might ask you for a contribution to their fees/ costs, if they have already added these to the claim. Whether it's reasonable for you to pay them depends on the amount and the circumstances of the case.
