To Think That The Real Issues Affecting Women Are Ignored

Just becoming increasingly frustrated that the current seems to be driven by the fact that we need more "female comedy writers "or more "women commenting on football."
The issue is that we need more day to day opportunities for women to just be able to go out and work. The real scandal is that increasing numbers of single mothers have to shoulder the burden of childcare and the cost of bringing up children while men skip their responsibilities ,paying a pittance and severely limiting the choices of real women and leading to inequality every day .

YANBU
But the current narrative is far more about campaigning for rights for any group other than women... not that I’m saying that is wrong. I’m simply saying that systemic misogyny is a far more acceptable and ubiquitous form of discrimination and barely gets a look in.

People seem to be ‘over’ equality for women. It’s just not interesting anymore. See the recent attacks on JKR for daring to speak up on behalf of other women.

yanbu Jobs that women do are often paid a much lower wage than similar jobs mostly held by males. Women are the ones that take the financial hit when we start a family or someone needs care.
