Just that really. I have an interview next week for a management position, level transfer i fancy a change.
I know what i think makes a good manager but I'd be interested to hear from other points of view.

A leader not a "manager"Someone who inspires their team and shows them the way , guides them and is a positive member of the team.

For me, a good balance of challenge and support. Pushing where appropriate and taking the strain where necessary.

I love my manager and she terrified me when I started. She’s inspired me so much and I’d never be where I am without her.

Someone who genuinely values and listens to their team and wants them to do well. The worst managers I've had have been people who have let the power go to their head and just lorded it over everyone instead of mucking in and leading by example.
