Time to abolish the Monarchy?

So with all the recent press surrounding Prince Harry and Megan Markle, ignoring whether you think their behaviour is right or wrong or just simply none of us plebs business, do you think it might time to abolish the monarchy?

There seems to be an undercurrent of unrest towards the Monarchy at the moment what with PH and MM, the Prince Andrew rumours (whatever your feelings are towards the rumours) and the supposed affair rumours surrounding PW, also add into the mix people have very mixed feelings towards Prince Charles still.

The Monarchy do cost us a lot of money each year, although they do bring in tourism but would the castles and Tower of London do that anyway?

The Queen is good for public relations and gives us a shared history/heritage but then we have that history anyway.

The Queen does a very good job meeting people like Trump so that nobody else has to!

So what are your feelings towards the Royal Family? Is it needed anymore? Is there a different alternative? (more streamlined RF) should we abolish it completely? Do you have any good or bad reasons for keeping or abolishing the Monarchy?

I love the royal family but even I'm getting irritated! H&M with their ott privacy but I can understand given what Diana went through. As a couple I find them very sweet! They could do with better advisors but I think really they are just naive.

PW is irritating but I love Kate and the children!

I feel sorry for princess Beatrice and Eugenie! PA tries to push them into the limelight too much!

Love the queen and won't hear a word against her!

Admire Charles and camilla and feel sad they never got to be together originally.

Let’s get rid!

They are so far down the pecking order, they are hardly 'the monarchy' are they?

To pluck a royal figure most of us will till know out of thin air - Princess Alexandra was No6 in line when she was born, shes now number 53.

Harry will become more and more irrelevant - Just like Princess Anne, Princes Andrew and Edward - utterly irrelevant in terms of succession.

Yet again. We have Andrew mixed up with a prolific sex offender but still, the villains are Harry and Meghan.
Whatever their errors, they pale into insignificance beside what Andrews mixed up in. Surely?

I'd be glad to see them scaled right down when the queen dies. Can't see the point of any of them.

I'd keep them purely so that that twat Boris has to at least show respect to one person in life on a regular basis.

They should keep present Monarch and the Next in Line .

I do not want my taxes being spent on renovations for living quarters or after the fire .
The Queen is one of the wealthiest women in the world in her own right .

(And yes I know , brings in £££ in tourism , costs each person in the UK 26p etc etc)
