It may be deserved in some cases, however it would seem the gloves are off as far as the media are concerned. They have lived high on the hog for centuries so what is new?

Am scratching my head here is it shoot the royal family season or a smoke and mirrors exercise designed to distract us from something more important??

Considering the number of seats they would need for the family (apparently her parents are there too) staff and security detail I think it must have been booked some time ago.

Mind you Belindabelle it is Norwich - Aberdeen. There can't be that many people wanting to make that journey regularly. I'm actually astonished that there is such a regular flight between those two places!

Flight everyday except Saturday I think. Flybe or Loganair.

If it wasn't commercially viable it would be cancelled or reduced to 2/3 days a week.

I've actually taken the Norwich to Aberdeen flight! It was full of men working in the oil and gas industry.

It would probably suprise us how busy random flights get. dh used to fly to Birmighham Mon-friday for work from Edinburgh .

DS worked offshore, but all courses, safety and health plus other things like getting out of a helicopter upside down in the water were done in Aberdeen. It really was a buzzing busy place. Train fares from Wales were eye wateringly expensive.

I wonder if the Flybe flight actually had other paying civilians (excluding staff) on board. It would be interesting to see if members of the public can honestly say that they were on the same flight as the Cambridges.

There are already statements from members of the public who were on the flight saying no one noticed them until they disembarked. Apparently Kate’s Mum was also on the flight.

Couple of passengers said they were seated in the front row of the plane, and another one said said sspotted Carol in front of her and Kate walking behind William to their seats holding Louis.

Why are all the threads about the royal family getting taken down? I think there are really important discussions to be had on the arrogance and, in one case, malfeasance of the RF. We should be able to talk about it!

I think the private jet / Flybe comparison is the difference between old money and new money.
I don’t think it was a PR thing. Diana often took William and Harry to normal places, and Kate is often seen at a supermarket, so, takingba scheduled plane seems in keeping with how the Cambridges do things.

Meghan has only very recently become Alist; since her marriage, so she and Harry are enjoying all the perks of hobnobbing with rich celebs.

I totally agree. Some people want to discuss subjects other than clothes and children. No other decent internet fora take this ludicrous approach.

I agree with them being removed. The pro Brexiter Daily Fail readers are getting frenzied in their online attacks against Meghan. It is disgusting.

I think perhaps from her background unless you are taking private jets and hobnobbing with slebs it means you aren’t quite up there with the A listers. I really do think it’s about old and new money and social class. Diana liked to be among ordinary people because she was brought up as an Aristo and found it refreshing to get a break from the stiff protocols. Meghan is desperate to be seen to be on a par with the likes of George Clooney and Elton John. Harry was never interested in that stuff at all before he met Meghan. It’s also that she is measuring herself on an scale which is US based and not British.
I read something somewhere where one of her friends was saying she isn’t bothered at all by the reaction to her taking private jets. She will just carry on regardless. Doesn’t send the right messy.
