The knives are out for the royal family

It may be deserved in some cases, however it would seem the gloves are off as far as the media are concerned. They have lived high on the hog for centuries so what is new?

Am scratching my head here is it shoot the royal family season or a smoke and mirrors exercise designed to distract us from something more important??

I would hate to be in the PR business with the RF just now.

So it creates jobs. Sheesh not difficult when you read it that they needed bigger factories in Wales and Scotland.

Two thirds of the way through Jephsons biography the overseas tours were interesting, Charles was banging the buy British drum wherever he went.

You sound like a crazed fan defending a £56k dress spent by tax payers for these ahem “humanitarians”

IcedPurple · 20/08/2019 19:52

Those are all puff pieces. No actual statistical info.

So if Meghan wearing a frock means jobs are created, it must horrify you that she so rarely wears British designers then? Certainly not obscure ones.

justasking111 · 20/08/2019 19:59

It does annoy me that she does not wear more British that is where Katherine is smart, she wears the expensive gowns but the next day we see her in attainable clothing, mind you not sure where Boden and other garments are made could be sweatshops abroad.

All the brands in @justasking111's post were fairly obscure. And Meghan wore a dress by an up and coming British designer when presenting Archie.

Ibiza2015 · 20/08/2019 20:01

Diana spent a fortune on clothes, no-one bitched then.

Yes they did. In fact Charles’s camp used to deliberately leak precise figures to discredit her.

Cryalot2 · 20/08/2019 20:01

H and M just daily seem to get worse.
They are privliged yet that is not enough.
Life is difficult enough for the likes of ordinary folk like myself. Then you see this pair get more demanding daily. Yet look at her past!
M in particular has brought nothing but trouble and H for being a whimp . The truth needs to be told about Archie. She acts like a celeb, not a member of the royal family.

SheStoopsToConker · 20/08/2019 20:02

The truth needs to be told about Archie.

Oh yes, and what truth might that be @Cryalot2?

IcedPurple · 20/08/2019 20:04

"Presenting" the untitled 7th in line? After having her staff leak for weeks that she thought the whole pose for 2 minutes on the steps of the Lindo Wing stuff was so archaic and unfeminist?

justasking111 · 20/08/2019 20:04

Oh gawd even the little are not immune from the knives. Harry had this for years. Andrew before him.

ODFOD dear. I would bet my right arm that the stories you allude to are false. Even if they weren’t false it’s nobody else’s business and speculating about the parenthood of an infant is disgraceful.

IcedPurple · 20/08/2019 20:10

Are people actually trying to get this thread shut down?

Are people actually trying to get this thread shut down?

This is exactly what I thought.

ssd · 20/08/2019 20:17

No, the truth needs to be told about Andrew. And Mountbatten.

You are playing into their hands, fighting over MM s dress costs or discussing Archie.

FFS. Wake up people 😣😣😣

QueenofmyPrinces · 20/08/2019 20:20

......speculating about the parenthood of an infant is disgraceful.

What????

justasking111 · 20/08/2019 20:23

Members sharpening their own knives on here, the media have some allies I guess. Remember the media aim for the lowest common denominator, so they are bound to turn up on here as elsewhere. Someone said earlier the media are aiming for the clicks whatever that means it brings in money for them.

Queenofmyprinces, go and have a look at the absolutely insane shit posted on Tumblr about Meghan. I’m not going to respect any of it because it’s not true, just the rantings of lunatics.

SheStoopsToConker · 20/08/2019 20:23

Well said @ssd

Ibiza2015 · 20/08/2019 20:23

*repeat it

Hithere12 · 20/08/2019 20:27

There were about 5 stories on Andrew this morning on the Mail Online, I couldn’t see anything about H&M. People ARE talking about him, it IS a big story, but so is climate change & using private jets is hideous, it’s not one or the other.

justasking111 · 20/08/2019 20:28

It has knocked brexit off the front page said OH gratefully this morning.

Prince Andrew, the sex trafficked teen, and Ghislaine smirking over their shoulder.

The RF needs to be told to jump, before they're pushed.

The knives are out for the royal family
SheStoopsToConker · 20/08/2019 20:35

Oh that is nasty @NeelixFelicis Confused

(The photo that is, not your post!)

IcedPurple · 20/08/2019 20:37

Has that photo just been released? Has it been confirmed that that is one of the trafficked girls?

If so, then it would appear the gloves are off, and not a moment too soon. There's no way the press just got hold of that photo now. Doubtless they've been sitting on it for some time but now feel free to release it. Wonder what else they've got in store?

Happens every time.
