Recommendations for self help books

Not really an AIBU, but I'm asking for recommendations of good self help books and this board gets the most traffic

Currently struggling with my MH after going through some trauma this year, have self referred for CBT and have booked a GP appointment for next week to change my meds.

I'm looking for something to read as well, any recommendations? Thanks in advance

The 'Overcoming...' series are good - CBT based and all written by leaders in the field. Ie Overcoming Trauma, Overcoming generalised anxiety etc.

Personally i like The Happiness Trap by Russ Harris - its an ACT approach to improving mental well being.

I hope things improve for you soon

The subtle art of not giving a fuck

It's bit different. Gives an interesting outlook and you might get the occasional giggle. But mainly, you will get the "Oh, actually, yeah😮"
