To ask for your favourite gross thing to do?

What's your favourite thing that people consider gross but you love doing?

Do you take ultimate joy in cleaning a plug hole? Is clearing your gutters the most satisfying feeling? Is it getting your ear wax out that makes you happy?

For me, it's plucking out ingrown hairs. I love doing this and at least twice a week take tweezers to my legs and dig them all out. Some think it's disgusting, I find it incredibly satisfying. Plus, it annoys me to see them.

So what is your "thing" that makes you happy?

I have a special tool - I long yellow barbed stick for emptying the plug hole of hair which is really satisfying to use. My DD and I have a ton of long hair that blocks it otherwise.

Picking nose and skin from my feet and hands. I'd love to do some spot squeezing but I don't have any and there's no way the DC would let me. I did have a good rummage in my belly button hole the other day and it was the first time in ages. Lots of dead skin to remove.

@PaddingtonMare @LemonPrism you are both correct although I don't "eat" the sponge only chew it. I don't know why the urge was brought on by pregnancy. And it's weird how it stopped immediately after DS was born but the urge hasn't stopped since DD was? Weird.

I also love picking my toenails off too instead of using clippers 🙈🙈 and then cutting the hard skin off with the clippers

I love watching extreme plaque removal videos on YouTube. It’s so satisfying

@powershowerforanhour I think you win the thread! I'm loving all the gross everyday thing people love! It's amazing to me what makes some people almost throw up makes others happy. Thank you everyone for your icky replies, i e had the best laugh and shudder reading these!

@origamiunicorn First off, I love your username! But no, not a journalist. Wish I was as then I wouldn't be ridiculously skint! I'm an unemployed mum of a 7 month old, disabled and not able to work atm and fed up of not doing something as a job. But baby keeps me very busy, as do my additional needs from my disability.

Fair enough, apologies Smile and thanks I had just watched Blade Runner 😂

In that case I'll join in...

I get seborrheic dermatitis at my hair line off and on and I love scratching it off, the bigger the flames the better it's so satisfying. I also like cleaning hair from the plug hole, popping spots and doing blackhead strips on my nose.

The best is the sort of spots where you just squeeze and the gunk comes out like toothpaste, a perfect cylinder and it's sooooo satisfying I can't tell you.

BearRabbitPants

I used to do the sponge thing too! It started during my first pregnancy I loved chewing on a dry sponge and it continued after I had my baby. During my second pregnancy it progressed to a soapy sponge I would sit in the bath for ages just chewing Confused. One time I was washing the dishes and before I knew it I had a bite of the washing up spongeShock. Strangely I stopped after having my baby and haven't done it since.
