To ask for your favourite gross thing to do?

What's your favourite thing that people consider gross but you love doing?

Do you take ultimate joy in cleaning a plug hole? Is clearing your gutters the most satisfying feeling? Is it getting your ear wax out that makes you happy?

For me, it's plucking out ingrown hairs. I love doing this and at least twice a week take tweezers to my legs and dig them all out. Some think it's disgusting, I find it incredibly satisfying. Plus, it annoys me to see them.

So what is your "thing" that makes you happy?

@Rainbowknickers I love popping DPs spots too! He just about let's me but he hasn't had any for ages so I understand your pain!

Sorry about your fanjo, spots there are itchy and not nice. I hope it clears up at some point.

Another person who can do bath plugs! You're so lucky it doesn't turn your stomach, I wish mine didn't make me shudder.

@Bumbags Is it like a normal, standard council provided rubbish bin? If it is, how do you clean the bottom of it on the inside? I want to know your cleaning secrets!

Watching YouTube videos of warts and verrucas being surgically removed (frozen off is not the same).

@skybluee Go for it, this is anonymous and no one will know it's you! I also bite and swallow without thinking about it DCs nails, including his toes. He's only little though!

I'm always happy to see my cat eating grass as the count-down begins to pulling a blade of it out of her bum. Soz.

I sometimes get dry crusty patches on my head due to extensions being left in too long and totally neglecting my natural hair. I love finding them and picking them.
I find squeezing white heads deliciously satisfying.
I also love picking juicy bogies out of my toddler's nose. Not my 5 year old's. I'm not a beast!

Putting pile cream on my other half’s bum and also when he chafes I don’t mind putting cream on the raw areas. Get a strange satisfaction out of it lol

Watching Dr Pipplepopper for hours on end.

I'm a nose picker. It all goes in a tissue but I get a lot of satisfaction out of it.

I could spend hours searching and extracting ingrown hairs. 32 weeks pregnant at the moment and can't see my bikini line and it's driving me mad! Have checked DH over but he's lacking!!

Getting "carrots" out of DS's ears. No matter how much he bathes, he is waxy.

Not much else really, but all those things bring me intense joy.

I love picking any dry skin and my DH loves squeezing spots and blackheads

I absolutely can not deal with spots though. Couldn't burst one and can't understand how people love bursting other people's even though I pick my ex's and my children's scabs

Peeling sunburn (few & far between nowadays, but back in the 90s, I was in heaven!)

Having the bedroom to myself for an hour or so, so I can put the super magnifying mirror on the windowsill and squeeze my sebaceous filaments.

Picking my nose in the car on the way home from work and flicking it out the window.

Find it really satisfying when my toenails get abit long for my liking.. to pick them off with my finger nails, rather than use clippers.

I'm not sure if this is gross or just weird... but here goes... I chew sponge 🧽. It started in 1st pregnancy, stopped soon as DS born. Preg with DD started the urge again, and I haven't been able to stop since her birth 6 months ago! Most tasty ones are Asda's own brand car sponges! They are THE BEST. Worst thing is I could easily eat it (swallow it) but I know I'd be very ill if I did! So it takes alllll my willpower not to.

My old flat mate used to get ingrowing toe nails so I’d been tasked with digging them out with surgical scissors and tweezers. Nothing has truly compared to that (apologies to all podiatrists who are doubtless recoiling in horror).

DS gets the most GIGANTIC bogeys I’ve ever seen. I honestly don’t know how he can breath. He’s only small so can’t blow them out fully so I have to dig them out with tissues or a cotton bud. Lush.

I also love getting hair out of the plug hole.

FFS. I really need to get a life.

And when there's nothing to be tweezed, picked, plucked, excised... dr pimple popper on YouTube or those weird Asian "spa" videos where they store all the blackheads on the gloves 🧤...I don't like that part but the squeezing is amazing!

I love using a rough towel on my athletes foot. One day I rubbed it so hard the top layer of skin came off. But I still couldn't stop

@putyourtopontrevor I do the chewing hard skin from feet as well! Picking it off (from a hard edge or even a blister) it just goes straight in my mouth and chewed flat, folded, chewed, chucked away

My god, if this is real, you must have the most awful problem with ingrown hair. Sorry, but your first post reads like a journalistic fishing expedition to me.

Cleaning my kids ears with cotton buds....but I had to reign it on and stop.

New favourite thing is hunting for nits...very cathartic 😂

All of these things so far I can definitely see how they would be satisfying and cathartic to do, even if not for me. Except maybe pulling grass out of my cats bum! Not something I'd like to encounter!
