Am I being unreasonable in thinking that bugs etc are only after me and nobody else?

I've always had a debilitating fear of bugs ever since I was little which is amplified by my anxiety disorder. I believe my brain has conditioned itself to be extremely hypersensitive to anything creepy crawly because my head will normally automatically turn regardless of what I'm doing or thinking of (Even if bugs aren't on my mind!)to where an insect or spider is. I know that makes me sound absolutely batsh*t but that is honestly what I've noticed what my body tends to do. Perhaps something to do with my subconscious or something along those lines?

I woke up two nights ago when my boyfriend went to the toilet only to notice what appeared to be a small house fly hovering at the bottom of my bed so I naturally swatted at it in the hopes it would go away but upon closer expectation I found out it was in fact a small spider hanging from a web it had made around the ceiling light.

I was about to hunt the spider down once I could no longer see where it went when my boyfriend came back into my room and asked what the hell I was doing to which I told him and he kind of dismissed my concerns, went on to tell me that spiders don't like humans very much so they tend to avoid us whenever they can and then ended the conversation by telling me to go back to sleep with a 'now is not the time for this sort of crap' facial expression.

Oh if you're wondering about my thread title, it's because I get absolutely ravaged during the summer time and end up covered in horrible itchy bites while nobody else seems to.
