AIBU to feel light coming on at night is a bit weird?

Last night DP and I woke up at 3.45am because the bright light on our landing had come on and was shining through open bedroom door. Nobody else in the house. The light can be switched on and off from the hall downstairs, as well as on landing. My first thought was that there must be someone down there who had switched the light on from the hall.
Went down to investigate. Nobody there. As we looked in the downstairs rooms, we turned the light on in the room, then off again as we came out. As I turned off the dining room light, the landing light that had mysteriously come on and woken us, went off. Am not actually spooked, but concerned something is odd.
I have looked online and it seems there can be an issue with recessed lights, but that is not what we have. Has this happened to any Mumsnetters?

I suspect it’s just a faulty connection or bit of wiring

But I really hope it’s a ghost!

Any other spooky goings-on?

I,ve had all kinds of shit going on in this old house, computer coming on in the night then flashing, banging in the loft. The whole house has been rewired within the last few years so no problems with wiring and good thing I'm not easily scared, plus waking up sure someone had been whispering to me in the night.
I got a medium in and haven't had any trouble since.

This happened to us, also with the landing light. Turned out to be the wiring so had it rewired and it sorted it.

Definitely get an electrician to have a look at the wiring, there could be a short somewhere.

We had this. The electrician couldn’t find the problem at first but eventually replaced wiring and switches and it stopped.

My telly comes on on its own.
