To ask you what you would spend £25 in Boots points on?

jamoncrumpet · 18/08/2019 10:42

I have accumulated a lot of points (for me!) and am trying to decide what to treat myself to.

I need a face cream. I have combination sensitive skin.

I like sheet masks. And hair masks.

Only make up I wear is mascara and concealer.

What do you want? Spend it on that.

cookieoclock · 18/08/2019 10:44

Perfume!

jamoncrumpet · 18/08/2019 10:46

I don't know @Lockheart - that's why I'm asking!

Well if you must know I'd spend it on lots of makeup. I tend to only buy the bare minimum to save money and splurge a bit with points.

But you say you don't wear makeup, so what I'd spend it on isn't really relevant.

The only right answer is what would you really really like? They don't expire to my knowledge so you don't have to decide right away.

Buy a bottle of water to get a voucher and follow the instructions!

No 7 skincare is great

jamoncrumpet · 18/08/2019 10:54

I was just wondering if anyone rated any skincare stuff I suppose, @Lockheart. I am rubbish at stuff like that.

BarbaraofSeville · 18/08/2019 10:56

Just get a load of the stuff that you mention and stop shopping in Boots, as they're way more expensive than other shops for most things, even with the points, and then you have the chore of spending the points. Much simpler to just buy toiletries from the supermarket and probably make up too if you only use a small amount of basic stuff.

Lockheart · 18/08/2019 10:56

In that case it might be worth going to some concession stands in places like John Lewis or Debenhams and see if they do any little samples to take home. Then if there's something you particularly like you can buy that.

You can also try asking in Style and Beauty.

BarbaraofSeville · 18/08/2019 10:57

Skincare is quite personal, what's good for you is not necessarily any good for strangers on the internet who you know nothing about.

jamoncrumpet · 18/08/2019 11:00

@BarbaraofSeville - I buy nutrition shakes for my autistic son and get loads of points for them

I've just used one of the Garnier Vitamin C sheet masks this week and I loved it. I've tried a few in the past but this particular one has made a visible difference to my skin. I had a couple of blemishes that have completely gone and also some discolouration that has really calmed down. I'm off to buy a couple more later.

Redken24 · 18/08/2019 11:05

I like the boots advanced moisturiser. It's good for my normal skin, has an spf30.
I have a toner from boots but wouldnt rate it.
I have bought a hairdryer with points before. Also new tweezers.

flapjackfairy · 18/08/2019 11:08

3 for 2 Christmas presents when they are in store. . Choose a nice one for yourself and get ahead of the game .
That is my preferred option with my points.

AndTheSeaRollsOn · 18/08/2019 11:11

Is there anything electrical you would like? I always save my points up to the best part of £100 so I can either treat myself to my favourite perfume or something ‘bigger’ like straighteners. But do you need a new hairdryer? Electric toothbrush? Etc.

Skincare wise, I really rate Pixi - the glycolic has saved my skin. I don’t know if Boots stock Lumene but their stuff is lovely too.

ChristmasFluff · 18/08/2019 11:13

I'm another one who saves it for Christmas 3 for 2s - they have lots of household decorative stuff etc, not only cosmetics and toiletries. I have sisters and nieces, and it's economical

Even if you decide to treat yourself, you can get No7 gifts as 3 for 2 at that time too.

MamaGee09 · 18/08/2019 11:18

I save my boots points and buy my foundation. I used Clinique and it’s £26 a bottle.

Theimpossiblegirl · 18/08/2019 11:21

I wait for the No7 box at Christmas.
That said, you can pick up a No7 voucher this week and use it with other offers to get a lot more for your money including a free gift.

LordEmsworth · 18/08/2019 11:30

Is it a Boots with premium counters? £25 would get you Origins Ginzing moisturiser, which I love.

Concealer - I love Clarins Instant Concealer, which I use instead of foundation at weekends to just even out my face where it needs it.

If it were me I'd go for body scrubs, I really like the Sanctuary salt scrub so I'd get 3 of those on the 3 for 2 offer. I am currently loving the Sanctuary in-shower body moisturisers too.

Hattie78 · 18/08/2019 11:34

I'd buy a Yankee candle - one of the big jar ones.

drspouse · 18/08/2019 11:39

I'd buy contact lens solution or in your case more of the shakes you need. Or suncream.

Alsohuman · 18/08/2019 11:40

I hang onto mine and use them at Christmas too. Mt stepdaughter always gets the huge Soap and Glory offering which she loves and it’s free.

Sparkletastic · 18/08/2019 11:43

The 'My Good Skin' range is excellent.

Atlasta · 18/08/2019 11:48

I'd choose a really nice bath product- Sanctuary bath float and I'd buy the candle(original orange tin) from the home fragrances section. Smells divine.

Littleduckeggblue · 18/08/2019 11:55

Do the link above. You also get a free makeup pallet if you buy 2 number 7 items
