To feel like I'm dying? I feel crippled after a night out!

I went out to some 'clubs' and pubs last night. I handled my drink really well, and didn't really get tipsy, so the very loud and noisy friends I was with done my head in since they were pissed as a pip Grin

Today I woke up and I could not move. My legs feel like they've given up on me. My whole body is aching and seems to be shouting stop. I am physically exhausted.

I don't feel hungover. I just feel completely zapped! Is this what going out is like now?

I did a lot of dancing and bending of the knees, a few slut drops even. God I'm no good at this sort of thing. Is it normal to feel this done in?

How old are you?

EEmother · 17/08/2019 16:46

Started happening to me around mid-30s. How old are you?

AvengerDanvers95 · 17/08/2019 16:48

I'm 38 and this has just started happening. Took me 2 days to recover from a hen do and 3 to recover from the wedding. Hell.

rideordie · 17/08/2019 16:51

I'm 21 Blush

Yep, this kicked in mid 30s for me too. I have to plan nights out around what I’m doing the next day now (hopefully spending at least the morning in bed with a vat of tea and some painkillers). It’s got to the point where it’s nit worth having a “big one” unless it’s a special occasion.

Oblomov19 · 17/08/2019 16:55

Ha ha OP. Grin
Nope. This doesn't happen to me. I can drink like a fish and dance and I'm still ok the next day. And I'm ancient.

alliejay81 · 17/08/2019 16:56

It's the slut drops!! Wink

whereisthebloodypostman · 17/08/2019 17:00

MrsGrindah · 17/08/2019 17:00

hahahhahhahah, oh dear op - i was hoping you would say mid-thirty. 21?! thats pretty young to be exhausted! Maybe its not something you do often so not used to it? I mean, im mid-thirty and i would probably feel like that if i drank 3 bottles on a night out with dancing.... Grin

Livebythecoast · 17/08/2019 17:08

Yeah, the slut drops get me every time - twerking I'm fine but can't get up after a slut drop.
This is a complete lie. I'm 47 and the last action I did to a song was YMCA - much more sophisticated Grin

DariaMorgendorffer · 17/08/2019 17:11

Another mid-30 here. It has all fallen apart for me this year too Shock

Try milk thistle before your next big night out op. You've plenty years partying in you yet! Maybe you're coming down with something?

Sounds like a great night Wink I'm sure it was worth it!

rideordie · 17/08/2019 17:24

It was worth it Smile A Friend's 30th!

Cheers! I may try a slut drop at my birthday celebration meal. That will get them talking.

StillNumb · 17/08/2019 19:37

I'm a lot older than you, but I was wrecked for about 3 days after my DSD's wedding. I wasn' really looking forward to it, but because of a change in plans I stayed so went to the even bit which I don't normally do. It was a small wedding, and things were slow to get started so out of character for me I decided to get things moving for DSD's sake! DSD and DD were complimenting me on my moves! Went from a wallflower to a disco diva showing the younger ones how to bust a few moves OMG! We all had a fab time, but I was wiped out after.

Looking forward to the next time though!
