AIBU to think you don't just throw handfuls of hair on someone's floor???

So my MIL is over at my house. I've got a sleeping baby in my arms, gave birth a few weeks ago. My older children are about to do some baking and MIL is looking for a hairbrush to tie DD's hair up before baking.

Hairbrush is on the sofa, I point it out and she says "oh what a nifty brush this is" (it's a jellybean one) and then proceeds to pull the hair that's stuck in the bristles out and just drop the clump of hair on my living room carpet!!!

She walked out of the room before I had time to react and say "why the heck have you just done that?!" And now I'm just sitting here thinking what the feck??? AIBU to think you don't just do that?

I know it's a mountain out of a molehill but I'm a bit deep deprived and irrational.

YANBU that's horrible. Would she do that in her own house? I hate it when long haired visitors play with their hair and deliberately drop it on my floor.

Has she never heard of a bin? Manky old cow.

I'm so annoyed by it! No doubt she's now destroying my kitchen with DDs and I can't hear older DD kicking off about something but I'm not going until I've calmed down otherwise I'll no doubt say something I'll regret.

Why? Just why? (Congratulations on your new baby)

itseasybeingcheesy · 17/08/2019 11:02

@IsobelRae23 thanks!

I really don't know why! I'm now wondering how clean her house is... I'm not over there often but my girls go there one day a week and sometimes on weekend days with DH. If she has habits like that goodness knows what the house is like.

Oh I just noticed my OP has an autocorrect fail! *sleep deprived not deep deprived.

I'll just blame being sleep deprived Blush

Yanbu, that's gross and bizarre! Is her own house a bit mucky? Maybe she wouldn't think twice about that at home.
