My normally angel DS age 5 is broken this holiday, it’s like without school to stimulate him he’s lost need for sleep. We’ve gone from 12 hours a night to less than 8. And I’ve just woken up to the most god awful smell. Little monster has somehow found bottle I Alba’s oil and has liberally sprinkled a whole fucking bottle about his bedroom, himself, his bedding, he’s the. Come and climbed in our bed and spread it there. It STINKS the whole bottle is empty. Jesus. He’s never done anything like this. DH has read him riot act and he’s now asleep while we’re in disbelief and breathing g much more easily than we should. How long will it take for this to subside??? Am I going to have to abandon house for a few days or sleep downstairs?

Whats he doing during the days?

ChampagneCommunist · 17/08/2019 00:28

Soft play is your friend here

Fruitbatdancer · 17/08/2019 00:29

Clearly not enough. Lots of playing/ play dates/ visiting Nannie- but mostly inside today as weather so grim. I work full time but DH has him. I think he needs wearing out. Tonight’s been a wake up call.

Buy an all day ticket to soft play & take a good book

UPDATE: found half tube of e45 smeared down side of his bed. Christ. We’ve never need to put stuff out of his way before. I expected this when he was 2 not 5.
