To be furious that this school mum put DC in danger and want to give her a piece of my mind! !

DD attended an activity recently for a school friends birthday. The plan was for all the invited DC to go to friends house for lunch before the activity then the mum and dad would ferry them to the activity in two cars, then they'd do the same back to friends house and DC were to be collected from there later in the evening. I did check they were OK to take DD as I only live up the street and would have been happy to help out with the transport because I don't like people I don't know well driving DC about and they wouldn't have had a booster seat for her!

DD casually mentioned today that she had X sitting on her lap in the car on the way back from the activity. It turns out the Dad had to do 'something' so they all travelled back in one car, 7 DC plus the mum, so the 3 DC in the back all had someone on the lap with no seat belt around them!

I'm absolutely raging! DC are all 8. If she'd texted me I would have had no problem going to help out.

I would never take a risk like that with someone else's DC.

DH thinks I shouldn't say anything. It's done now, just make sure we refuse if they offer to drive DC again but I really want toAngry.

I honestly can’t believe how

Argh pressed too soon. Was going to say I can’t believe how lily livered some posters here are. “Oh, well too late now.” Are you joking? A woman has the audacity to endanger not just her own kids, but others’ children, and it’s not your business to set her straight? Shall we just sit back and wait for a repeat of the BBC article?

This woman endangered everyone in that car for no reason whatsoever. She put children’s lives at risk. That’s a huge fucking deal. There is no bigger deal out there. OP, I’d also ascertain the facts and then let fly. I’d be reporting it and letting every other parent know too.

"if you're not happy with the risk of travelling in a car without a seatbelt then you shouldn't be driving at all"? WTF? Would a more reasoned response not be to just put a seatbelt on? Seeing as that's the issue.

It used to be all the rage to decorate homes with arsenic wallpapers. It didn't kill everyone, mostly just children and the elderly or already ill, let's bring that back too!

The sheer idiocy on this thread.

@ChristmasArmadillo, Imo, it is related as it shows a general lack of regard and care towards safety, taking responsibility and parenting in general.
She didn't care enough to take any children's safety into consideration then and they still aren't by not having rules or checks in place regarding social media use with their own children, including that many of her followers are grown men (so I've been told).
