Prob posting in the wrong but is it acceptable to wear the black and white converse to a funeral with a midi dress and blazer? Thanks 😊

Well it depends. You know the person and the 'vibe' of the forthcoming service. Will others be similarly casual? If so then yes. If not then no

First funeral I went to I was obsessed with wearing “the right thing”. 3 years and 4 funerals later I realised, it really doesn’t matter what you wear (I mean apart from like having your tits out, but you know what I mean lol). My grandad said for his funeral he wants bright colours, not black. At the funeral I wore bright colours and looked more like I was going on a night out and everyone else wore dark. Another time I wore boots with a dress that didn’t go with boots but was more practical with the walking. Some wore heels because it went with the outfit and then got stuck in the grass lol.
It really didn’t matter, we all were there for one reason and it wasn’t to judge what others were wearing.
So yes, wear the converse if that’s what you choose, no one will notice them.

I wouldn't if I had any other black shoes. I once wore nude courts and i felt wrong.

It's my uncles funeral. I know what I'm wearing will be the last things on people's minds. I know all the younger family will prob be wearing trainers. Thanks for the opinions going to have a look and see what black shoes I have x

If it's close family and you know others will be wearing trainers then you'll be fine actually
