AIBU to order Indian?

I rarely eat takeaway but I'm really under the weather. I haven't eaten yet today and all I ate yesterday was 2 slices of beans on toast with cheese (around 6 pm). I'm really craving Indian food but DH (day off) says he really doesn't fancy off and would prefer sushi. AIBU to ignore him? Sushi on a cold stormy day does nothing for me.

Bah, sushi on a day like this? No fucking way. Mm a lovely curry to warm you up and make you feel all cosy when it's shit outside...lush. I might have to get one.

saaagp · 16/08/2019 18:25

He's not had a single bite. Think he's put something in the oven.

I've been ill this week, so can really sympathise as you think of something you'd like to eat then when it comes down to it it's a struggle.

DP will come around, hope he's taking care of you

Haworthia · 16/08/2019 18:42

See? He’s sulking. As predictable as the day is long.

You can always freeze the leftovers OP, if you don’t think you can manage it all over the weekend.

AmIThough · 16/08/2019 18:51

@Haworthia or maybe he just doesn't fancy an Indian?

MrsTerryPratchett · 16/08/2019 20:36

maybe he just doesn't fancy an Indian?

LTB I couldn't marry a man whose fork wasn't out at the first sign of Indian food.

@MrsTerryPratchett GrinGrinGrin

Lweji · 16/08/2019 21:57

Could only manage about 4 mouthfuls

That's normal for a sick person. Any food that you manage to eat at all is good food.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/08/2019 08:04

Er - Is that a euphemism MrsTerry?

Cheeserton · 17/08/2019 08:13

Ignore the controlling prick.

Just when you think that term couldn't possibly be thrown around any more ridiculously or excessively than it already is on here, some genius applies it to someone's partner because they don't fancy eating Indian. Hats off - that's some truly impressive barrel scraping.

I do side with the eating Indian though.

LaMarschallin · 17/08/2019 08:28

Hiphopopotamus

And if anyone dares to even think about my bhunas

I'm thinking about them a little bit

I'll swap one for my korma...

(I've just realised my korma is pointless. Futile, even 🙁)

MrsTerryPratchett · 17/08/2019 14:18

Er - Is that a euphemism MrsTerry?

It's cooking holding up a mirror to life. Or something.

onioncrumble · 17/08/2019 15:11

I don't think the OP is banal as pp said. But the utter banality and dickheadedness of the predictable poster who says make it yourself or get a supermarket fresh meal boils my arse. Why can't anyone ever have any takeaway food without a total dickwich suggesting an alternative. What a joyless arse, I bet they prefer the sushi option Grin

Agree - and I would't want to make it myself if I felt a bit yuck, nor would I want a crappy supermarket meal deal option.

I'd want delicious red hot spicy curry from my local takeaway.

Yumyumumyumyumyumyumyumyum!

I would like to say that I think Mrs Terry Pratchett has made some excellent points on this thread. Any man who snubs a curry isn’t worth the time of day.

Apolloanddaphne · 17/08/2019 17:47

I love Indian food. Had one on Tuesday and reheated it what was left on Wednesday.

DD2 says that when she was at uni if anyone ordered a Korma they were made to call their mum and tell them!

LizB62A · 17/08/2019 18:11

I can't stand Indian food hence YABU Wink
