To feel awkward wearing a backpack as a grown woman?

Starting a new business in September, cleaning. I don't drive, so I'm considering buying this backpack to carry all my cleaning products. I just have one problem though, I always feel like a school kid when wearing a backpack I don't know why, feels so awkward🙈. Anyone here who's not a student wear a backpack instead of a normal bag?

Me. I'm late 30s. Hidden (pain) disability so my mobility varies significantly by the hour, I can't be managing a shoulder bag, especially if I'm on my own. We don't have a car, so need to do shopping on foot. Have had a backpack for years (a succession of backpacks actually, I just buy whatever seems suitable when the sale comes on in a decent outdoors shop).

I only carry stuff I need ready access to in my handbag, which is a cross body bag. Bottles, spare shopping bags, spare battery packs, cables, pens, wipes, painkillers, just in case Sanpro, brolly and anything else goes in a backpack.

Back packs are great!! Failing that get a pull along trolley!
