To complain ?

In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal but I've just had some blinds fitted and I don't know if it's just my imagination but I'm sure this blind in the Hall is wonky and lopsided.
Is it ? Would you even bother to complain?

looks lopsided to me- complain!

Jeezoh · 15/08/2019 13:57

Does it line up properly when it’s fully down?

Justmuddlingalong · 15/08/2019 13:59

It's quite close to the actual window. Is the handle on the window pushing it out a bit on the right hand side?

Crunchymum · 15/08/2019 13:59

If you've paid a blind fitting company then complain, if Dave from next door did you a favour then live with it.

pinteer · 15/08/2019 14:02

No I don't think it's the handle ...the slots at the top look slightly off
It was a blind company

Just call them and ask them to come and realign it.

whothedaddy · 15/08/2019 14:10

How level is the top of the window. I live in a georgian house and with all the will in the world a blind would never sit square in any of our 200 year old windows.

AmIThough · 15/08/2019 14:15

Are you sure it's not just that the material isn't perfectly straight on the roll?

BlankTimes · 15/08/2019 15:27

It looks okay to me but I'm in an old property and nothing is square or true.

Pull the blind out straight to almost its limit and let it rewind. Do that a few times so it gets to the correct tension.

It may have been opened by more pressure on one side then the other and that should sort it out.

Then have a look and see if you think it's still skew-wiff, squint, cantered or any of the other lovely descriptive often regional words meaning not straight.

Yabbers · 15/08/2019 17:10

Looks wonky to me. Get a spirit level to check it and complain if it is.

PawPawNoodle · 15/08/2019 17:20

Its fitted to the 'ceiling' of the window enclave so I cant see how they'd have fitted it wonky - it looks more to me that the blind isn't rolling off equally (that or you have a lopsided window)

pinteer · 15/08/2019 17:23

Well I tried to unroll and roll and the cord snapped off.
Gonna ring them tomorrow and fix it

It would bug you forever if you don't change it. Forever.....!!!

Cookz3kidz · 15/08/2019 22:23

Made my interior designer sister and her decorator husband have a look at pic and both say its lopsided.

pinteer · 16/08/2019 06:56

@Cookz3kidz Thankyou,I knew it wasn't my eyes
