To think that if you can be on Facebook, you're 'fully awake'?

I lend ex some money and he said he would pay me back this Monday gone, he didn’t and said instead he would pay me back on Thursday today. I call him at 9am, he says he will send the money when he ‘wakes up’. I say ok.

In that hour since I called him, he’s been on WhatsApp, Facebook several times. AIBU to think he is fully awake and can send the money? It literally takes 1 sec to send the money via the banking app, there’s no need for me to sit here and wait whilst he’s on Facebook.

If I call text/call again, he’s going to accuse me of ‘nagging’ him Hmm

He's showing you that he's in control and you're not a priority.

Do you need it back urgently?

I’m often comatose and on FB as the quality of some of my posts will prove but I agree he is playing games with you here.

I do FB and whatsapp mindless scrolling as my way to wake up - if I needed to send money to someone I would want to be at my computer. But if he has an app and he's sent money to you before then yeah he should probably just do it straight away.

My son and I have this £20 that bounces from my account-then back again etc
We can never remember who owes who it’s been that long
However I go to the bank as I’m old fashioned
He sends his via the app-he says it takes all of 2 seconds to do and it hits my account within the hour (he then fails to tell me he’s paid it but that’s another story)
He’s messing you about
