Make £400 online a month?

CCCC12 · 14/08/2019 15:34

Hi all,

I'm looking to find an income supplement - thinking paid surveys/reviews. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Or is it all a fraud?

Ideally only maximum 2 hours per day....

Thank you

Matched betting makes me £200 a month. It could be much more but I’m lazy with it and don’t do it properly

19lottie82 · 14/08/2019 15:36

You won’t make that kind of money doing surveys. I’ve signed up for 3 of the main sites and get maybe £50 every couple of months.

19lottie82 · 14/08/2019 15:37

As advised look into matches betting

CCCC12 · 14/08/2019 15:38

I have exhausted matched betting... no more free bets and not in the position to be putting £500+ to manage the matches.

So you want c£100 per week working 10-14 hours? That's a real wage, not online surveys.

Oneforposy7 · 14/08/2019 15:43

There is a really good ongojng thread called 10 a day on mumsnet. That has loads of ideas and has been going all year I think.

eastmidsmum · 14/08/2019 15:43

Look at the suggestions on moneysavingexpert.com, I used one or two of them a few years ago and did well. In particular Lionbridge, altho you must NOT rely on them as they arbitrarily end your contract with only 24 hrs notice. And check current rules on Tax Credits (if you’ve managed to avoid UC so far) because I got WTC for working at least 16 hrs a week even when earning about £1/hour.

SnotBlower · 14/08/2019 15:43

I’m following with interest as I need to cut my work hours down so could really use £400 a month

gearandloathing · 14/08/2019 15:48

Camming is the only way I can think of to earn that sort of money online

CCCC12 · 14/08/2019 15:50

@venusandmars I need to be flexible so cant take on a second job... Not looking for just online surveys just any reasonable suggestion. (Also would be £7 an hour, that I could do while in my house not paying for childcare/while cooking dinner etc.)

Thank you @Oneforposy7 and @eastmidsmum - I'm already over 16hrs a week so isn't a concern :)

Matched betting - have you done the reloads, 2nd place horse refunds, low risk casino, weekend enhanced accas? I make anything from £30-300 a week still

CCCC12 · 14/08/2019 15:51

@gearandloathing Strangely a friend I went to uni with does that now - but I'm unfortunately not confident or hot enough ;)

You have to be a survey pro and put in lots of time and effort to get referrals to make over £100 a month on survey sites. It can be done but even people who have been doing it for years spend more than two hours a day doing it.

luanmapo · 14/08/2019 15:53

Spread Betting... £500 a week here. Deal in morning trades only.
Can be a big risk though and have to study the markets for a while on the demo first.

chellochello · 14/08/2019 15:54

What is matched betting please?

Yaflamingalah · 14/08/2019 15:56

If it was as easy as that none of us would be commuting in and sitting at desks, while paying for childcare

Lifeisabeach09 · 14/08/2019 15:59

There is a thread in Mumsnet finance>moneymatters. It's called earn £10 a day in August (or something like that). It has a lot of ideas.

CCCC12 · 14/08/2019 16:00

I work 28hrs a week - already have a job just looking for an income supplement. Not claiming I want to make '$400 a day working from home for one hour!!'

Thanks @Lifeisabeach09 just started to watch/read it :)

jesuschristwtf · 14/08/2019 16:03

what is spread betting?

luanmapo · 14/08/2019 16:10

Spread betting is where you bet on whicvwr market you choose, a certain amount per point going up or down.
I tend to stick to the Dow, FTSE and Dax. Looking carefully into market trends and up to date info which could effect the trade for the day.
IG is the platform I use, started with £1k in there and just trade at £1 a point. Today I made £190.
But some days I do get it wrong and can lose. It’s not all win win unfortunately: but that’s the risk of it.

chellochello · 14/08/2019 16:16

@YesQueen

Thanks - I was just curious x

Spingtrolls · 14/08/2019 16:18

With camming you don’t have to show your face.
Then there phone/text chat.
Sell used knickers, socks and shoes.

I do all the above btw.
The calls are honestly easy. Most of the time they want to do all the talking. Hardest bit is trying to not laugh.

The above makes easily £100 a month for a couple of hours work.

Surveys don’t really make £100 a month continuously. Can go several months and lucky to get £20. They used to be really good years ago.

CCCC12 · 14/08/2019 16:20

I have a maths degree - just thinking is anyone familiar with any online tutoring or homework help kind of sites - UK based.
