Sorry posting for traffic

Does anyone use this steriliser? Mine just won't turn on! I really don't want to be buying a new one.

Which one is it?

I have the one you plug in and it stopped working - looked like the power was on but the heat plate wasn't warming up. Tommee Tippee replaced it for me

CharlesLeeRay · 13/08/2019 22:05

@WhatALearningCurve I have the electric one, it doesn't switch on at all, the light doesn't come on or the little clicky sound when it turns on. I bought it over a year ago before baby was born so they won't replace it.

@CharlesLeeRay have you tried descaling it?

CharlesLeeRay · 13/08/2019 22:08

@WhatALearningCurve I descale it regularly. I'm trying again, but I don't think it's going to work :(

My daughter has one for my granddaughter. I find I have to press the button on the front twice before the light comes on and it starts to work.

Thecatsatemychristmastree · 13/08/2019 22:09

Not sure if you've tried it yet but have you checked the fuse??

WhatALearningCurve · 13/08/2019 22:10

@CharlesLeeRay oh no! How olds baby? It's a faff but you might just need to sterilise in the microwave? Or I use a sterilising spray when I'm out and about or on holiday

CharlesLeeRay · 13/08/2019 22:21

@KettleLaugh tried and failed

@Thecatsatemychristmastree yep, even changed it. Also tried the fuse from the steriliser in the warmer and it worked.

@WhatALearningCurve 11 months, I wanted to keep sterilising until she finishes formula. Funnily enough I was sent a free avent microwave steriliser! Still a bit miffed. I was hoping it'd last. It was working this morning!

We're in a very similar position! Bought it on Amazon prime day last July but didn't start using it until October! Very annoying. I've been online searching for any fixes and it appears to be quite a common problem with these sterilisers. I wonder if they're just not very good. Anyway, rather than buy a new one just for a few more moths we're using Milton and a bucket for now.

CharlesLeeRay · 13/08/2019 22:30

@Howlovely oh no! I got a Avent microwave steriliser sent free from Amazon but I'm still miffed about it as I don't have a microwave (that packed in to last week)

Oh man, what next?! There's always something isn't there!

CharlesLeeRay · 13/08/2019 22:33

@Howlovely yep not to mention my little lady refuses to sleep until late at night Sad

Sadly ours just blew up, had to replace it. Check marketplace on Facebook...they are reasonable enough priced to get new so you should get a steal on there

BellyButton85 · 13/08/2019 23:01

Us
