Aibu to bawl my eyes out at 'forever home'

So hormonal at the moment and everything is killing me. I struggle to watch nature shows, forget about pixar films and don't get me started on animal charity adverts.
I also think my body is having a last ditch attempt to get me to breed, I'm 47 Hmm.

I really need to turn over Animal Rescue Live because I cannot handle the term forever home, it ruins me. Anyone else?

I have started getting emotional over silly things and think it is the perimenopause. Tearful the other day over seemingly nothing, but some clouds!

'Forever home' makes me cringe. YANBU to get upset over ARL though, it does tug at the old heartstrings. If it makes you feel any better, I have been blubbering over Orangutan Jungle School myself.

However, you are attributing all of this to being 'hormonal'. Are you absolutely certain there's nothing else making you feel over-emotional? Are you physically well? Please don't dismiss your reactions without making sure that everything else in your life is OK first.

@GibbonLover, I have been teary eyed over everything lately and quite embarrassingly so. Do you think I should look further into it and would my GP not just roll his eyes at an emotional 47 year old?

I gave up smoking 4 weeks ago so I'm feeling elated about that. That's the only thing different.

WELL DONE!!! I quit 15 months ago and I can honestly say it's the best favour I've ever done myself!

Perhaps you should consider seeing the GP. I didn't mean to make you worry or anything, it's just that as women, many of us blame all kinds of things on 'hormones' and just let it lie. There's every chance you could be peri though so it's worth investigating.
