eating out with DM and a lady has walked in and the smell of body odour was overpowering, so much so that it really put me off eating and made me feel sick.

what's the excuse for such poor hygiene? I've never understood it Confused

Hmmm, I also think some people in society are obsessed with over cleanliness, a tiny whiff of a person smelling like a human is too much for some people. My job brings me into contact with peoples bodies at close proximity, I’m always amazed at how much people worry they might smell, everyone has certain odours, it’s normal and some people are ott about humans smelling like humans - obviously overpowering BO is a problem and may indicate MH etc but I think the modern world grooms us to have to smell “perfect” all the time

My mum can be a bit smelly.. she is 75 and has never worn anti perspirant.. she says she doesn't sweat and it doesn't matter how many times I tell her she won't 🙄
