Am on holiday alone with DD on the other side of the planet. It’s been picture perfect. We were on an hour long journey back from a brilliant day out today and DD starts clutching her tummy and crying. V loudly. Everyone staring. The train wasn’t due to stop for so so long. Somehow, lord knows how, we made it off the train without incident at the next stop (not our stop!)

After much more stomach clutching and crying (but no throwing up), she seemed better. We’ve just set back off on our train journey.

She seems absolutely fine now but I’m a bag of nerves! There’s quite a way back to the Airbnb.

The logistics of a (potentially) unwell 6 year old overnight in a country where no one speaks English is freaking me out a bit. I’ve got Calpol and emergency numbers, plus a local contact, but am hoping not to have to use any of it!

Nothing needed except some mummy vibes (and advice if you have any!)

We go home tomorrow and I just want to get out of here unscathed!

Has she had a poo in the interim? Keep an eye on it, it might just be trapped wind. Look up symptoms for appendicitis on NHS website and just keep an eye out. If the worst happens I'm sure you will find someone who can help, or if not you can get by with Google translate. But don't worry about the worst until the worst has happened. Try and enjoy yourself.

How worrying. With holiday disruption etc here's hoping it's most likely wind/ constipation or the like. Google translate can be really handy let's hope it doesn't need testing thougj

Thanks! We made it back and she seems completely fine. Our second attempt at a journey home included her giving me a demonstration of how high she can jump, so I’ll take that as a good sign.....

I need a glass of wine!

Sounds like constipation or wind to me, good luck OP!
