Go Outdoors, no delivery, wont respond to phone or email. AIBU to be worrying

Placed an order with Go Outdoors some time ago. Delivery promised between Wednesday 7th & Friday 9th. No delivery !!

Checking online the money was taken from my Credit Card on the 5th (August) but nothing shipped yet.

Phoned customer service and just a message saying they are too busy to talk to customers. Repeated my call 15 times now, same response. Have also written to Customer Services three times since Friday. No response.

AIBU to be worried about what is going on there. I have tried other phone numbers, but some disconnected, others not answered.

My order and payment was for £300 plus and I am beginning to wonder if there may be deeper issues and I am likely not to see that money again.

Can’t believe the stunning arrogance of a company that fails to deliver and can’t be bothered to talk to their customers.

As youve paid by credit card you should be covered under the purchase protection provisions of Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. You’ll get your money back if the goods don’t turn up.

That’s said, it’s still annoying if your order isn’t fulfilled and - assuming there’s nothing insolvency-related going on - that’s shit customer service.

I haven't heard anything about them having financial issues.

I'd be trying their social media now - shame them into a response.

I think they're having issues. They seem to have been overwhelmed by online orders/collection requests during the recent sale and lots of people are complaining (on various groups/fb)

That said, they've never been particularly good at customer service.

There are loads of tweets on their twitter feed with similar issues to your OP so there has obviously been a problem with fulfilling orders. They are responding so maybe add your voice?

Thanks all.

I have Tweeted, Facebooked (but blocked from posting direct. Had to comment on one of their marketing posts) and raised a CC dispute.

I have also searched the internet for alternative number and tried those. The only person I managed to speak to, in Sales, said she had no way of putting me through to customer services internally, couldn’t escalate my issue to a Manager and didn’t know any Managers names.

Am increasingly concerned that something serious is going on. Their Twitter page is inundated with furious customers, all without delivery, all being ignored and just told to message Customer Services. When those customers respond that they have, without answer, they are then just ignored.

If you have any thoughts about buying from Go Outdoors, be warned !!

Did you get anywhere with this @flyingsouthwiththeswallows? We are having similar problems - nothing’s been delivered, card has been charged and dh can’t get through to them on the phone.

Sorry chocolatebrazilnut have been on holiday so have only just picked up your message.

I did eventually receive a parcel, but long after the notified delivery date and only after getting my credit card provider involved.

The delivery was far too late for me so I drove to the nearest shop (didn’t dare risk returning by post) and got my money back.

I asked to speak to the manager and he told me he was inundated with similar complaints but there is nothing he can do about it.

I don’t believe they will be around much longer !!
