Lego

I'm at my wit's end. Lego- it drives me to distraction.
I have a neat and tidy child and one child who breaks Lego up into its smallest constituent parts and sprinkles it liberally throughout the house.
I mean it is everywhere. I even found it in the guest en suite, outside flower pots, cat's basket and my bed today.
I think it just pushes my buttons in so many ways- I admit that I am probably a bit OCD but have tried to relax but partly it's so damned expensive and he never, ever seems able to keep the trainset, fire station etc etc together to actually play with it. I've just asked him to tidy up.
I've got half a mind to just bag it all up and throw it away.
Is it too early for wine?

Bag it up and sell it on eBay ( prob bag it up and hide it and tell him if he’s been asked to tidy it and it doesn’t happen that bit of Lego is gone ) ...., it’s always wine time somewhere in the world 😉

I moved bedrooms round yesterday and the amount of lego on the boys floor was ridiculous! Fed of saying pick it up. They had their chance yesterday so any that was left on the floor got vacuumed up 🙈🙈

The best part about Lego is building the set and then breaking it up and using the bricks to build your own creations, so I wouldn't get too stressed about him not playing with it "correctly".

Lego is what gets played with the very most in our house. I too find it everywhere and have to wear slippers all the time but I do think it's worth it. The creativity and mathematical side of it is great. We have a car mat with the favourite sets on it to make a city. Other sets get broken up and remade into other houses or whatever. We bought extra base boards which was a good move.

Can you get a basket for each room and get them to dump the bricks in there when they've finished? Or a drawstring circular playmat which turns into a storage bag. They are on amazon.
