...to ask you for your best tweenage girl party activites?

Hi all - desperately need help from the mumsnet hive mind!

My DSD (11) is having a camping sleepover with us and about 6 of her friends at the weekend. We've often done this with her older brother and his mates, and we usually have a water fight then give them a football and they're sorted for hours!

We'll do a big water fight, and throw a rounders set in too, but I think the girls might want some more structured games/activities, so was wondering what party activities you've done with your tweenage girls? Fun but not babyish, only caveat that we need to be able to translate them to a tent/field!

Thank you!

They'll probably be happy so long as the wifi reaches the tent.

I did a few food related games with mine.
Cookie on the face that they have to wiggle into their mouths ie no hands.

Have a string and tie doughnuts/bagels onto it, again eating with no hands. I got the children to choose their length of string before they knew what they were doing which made for interesting actions. You could tie the string between tents or get two adults to hold them up.

Depending on how many children you've got you could do relay type challenges e.g. give them two pieces of newspaper and they have to get everyone in their team from one side to another, can only have 2 people in the paper at one time and the grass is lava.

Water balloon toss, start close together and move further and further apart. Try not to pop the balloon.

Running race but make them spin around first (like adult ones but without the drinking).

Campfire - smores etc.

They may be fine but always good to have a few activities up your sleeve. 😊

They sound amazing, thanks - and minimal prep/equipment if they’re fine without entertainment!

Incase the weather isn't kind you could pack some nail art kits, friendship bracelet making, jewellery making , that kind of thing.
Hope they have fun Smile
