Is it just me? I’m getting a huge amount of annoying pop ups whilst using mn the last couple of days.
I can’t get back to where I was reading or posting when one of these happens and it’s hugely annoying!

Hmmm ... Common factor here appears to be Apple and Safari

Samsung S8 on Chrome in Cheshire.

MN is dreadful for this kind of thing. There's always something 😡

Doesn’t help that ( a minority of) posters treat these occurrences as some sort of game, making fluffy comments like ‘we know you’re doing your best MNHQ, have another gin’
It’s not a joke, MN is a multi million pound business and its users deserve better

Hi all

Thank you so, so much for all of the information - we really appreciate it.

There's quite a few threads in site stuff, so we're going to close some and post all updates on this thread, just to help us keep things tidy, and keep track of where we're at.

We won't be back here without being nudged, so if you need us, report.

Samsung phone Samsung browser or Google or Giffgaff tale your pick.
South Scotland.
Getting 4 or 5 ads at once blocking half the page.
Also evidently clicked on one as they appeared as I clicked a thread. Couldn't get rid of the "you won an ipad" notice had to close everything.
Fed up clicking back and forward to see threads before ads appear.

Have to keep exiting mumsnet as it makes it unusable.

Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 - Anglesey.

BustedDreams · 11/08/2019 10:45

I had a completely red screen pop up with WARNING and some other words written on it. Sorry I clicked it away as I was nervous of it, before I thought to screen shot.

I’m on iPad using safari.

WarmSausageTea · 11/08/2019 10:49

iPhone XS Max, Safari, Lincoln. Been happening since Friday, I think.

ReeReeR · 11/08/2019 11:21

Yes!

It’s really annoying as I don’t seem to be able to close it. The box that says “close” actually opens that page in the same screen and then I lose the replies I’ve typed!

I’m on IPhone X and using the safari browser. Will screen shot next time it happens

NovemberWitch · 11/08/2019 11:35

Well, at least it’s not a problem at my end, it’s very annoying indeed though!

ReeReeR · 11/08/2019 11:38

It’s still happening

Check your email junk folders as well, mine is stuffed with crap offers. My other emails are fine, just the one I use for MN.
Safari and an iPad here.

Lilacpheonix · 11/08/2019 12:17

Samsung Galaxy, chrome, home counties. My pop up blocker blocks them but they still manage to mess up the entire screen so I cannot read the thread. Very annoying.

Willow2017 · 14/08/2019 13:29

Apart from the adverts still blocking half the page even if they aren't there you can't click on threads as something flashes up blocking them.
It's making reading anything frustrating having to.refresh page over and over then try to read the op fast before it's lost under adverts.
