Oh happy days...football season is nearly upon us ...

It’s that time of year again where dh, my dad and 2 brothers clog up the family WhatsApp group with insults (‘banter’ 🙄) then one goes too far, the others take offence and I end up with a pile of private messages (or just direct whining from dh) telling me how unreasonable the others were.
AIBU (had to shoehorn that in there somehow!) to think that they’re big enough and ugly enough to fight their own battle this year and leave me the hell out of it?!
Give me strength!! (And wine...give me lots and lots of wine!) 😂🤦‍♀️

The proper football started last weekend.

They have a ‘boys only’ WhatsApp group but, for some reason, banter is much more fun when you’ve got an audience 🙄

Join in start discussing the transfer market, pick your team, go to matches, its great

I love it, we have a WhatsApp group especially to discuss (aka trash talk) our fantasy football league 😂.

None of us are moronic though, it’s all in good fun and nobody has ever got offended.

@ginghambox proper football has indeed started. I have already lost my 1st acca and only managed 5 points in my super 6. Oh and my team lost. Hoping for better this weekend. Also hoping we make a couple more decent signings tomorrow.

Can’t wait, at least there’ll be the Euros in the off season next year.

Luckily I don't know anyone interested in football but I'm annoyed because our city Park and ride shares its car park with the football stadium car park and it's closed on match days.

It's only 20 of so days a year but I wanted to go into town on Saturday and because it's too much hassle to get there by any other way, I can't.

Football never really goes away, the Women's World cup seemed to go on forever on TV over the Summer.

It's already started for DH and I can't wait for Friday night. Allez allez allez!

Offseason is boring as fuck. Im not interested in transfer rumours and other gossip. I want action- tho sadly we started with a goalless game!

I was at Wembley last Sunday.
Looking forward to the season - the return of the football is the one thing that mades the countdown to autumn less depressing.
