Aibu about college block booking holidays to move house?

I don't mind covering extra shifts, no one does. But this college has basically said they want to block book most of the next month and give less than 24 hours notice to pick which week they want and cancel the others just to move house!

Why can't they pick a bloody date and not expect everyone to put their lives on hold just so everything is convenient for them.

Why is your manager allowing this?

It's really between them and their manager, the company doesn't have to agree. If you are worried about how it will impact you, speak to your manager.

They can't pick a date, because they don't know the date, buying a house doesn't work like that. What they have done is sensible, it's notified the management that they'll need some time off at short notice within a period of time.
