AIBU to ask whether consistently high heart rate was linked to thyroid?

I have a resting heart rate about 108 - 115 for the past few months.
I mentioned it to a consultant yesterday so she added on thyroid blood tests as that can sometimes cause it she said.

If anyone has proven thyroid malfunction(?), has your heart rate been high?

TIA

I read that slow heart rate can be linked to under active thyroid and fast heart rate linked to overactive

Ok, that makes sense I guess!

My slow heart rate was related to my underactive thyroid and I believe it can be opposite for overactive. I was at 56bpm for ages recently and within a week of adjusting my dose of thyroxine I was back up to around 70bpm

Yes, I had tachycardia when I was diagnosed with Graves Disease.

Yes; a rapid heart rate is a sign of overactive thyroid and warrants a blood test.

Ok, we'll see what the bloods say I suppose
