to think the Mumsnet 'oops' logo is distasteful?

Given how horribly traumatising (and dangerous) it is to actually drop a baby? It hasn't happened to me, but it's my worst nightmare. This 'funny' logo actually makes me feel a bit yucky in the pit of my stomach.

I just thought to myself this morning "that Mumsnet logo with the baby falling down, did I really see that it was it a sleep-deprivation induced hallucination as I was up feeding last night?" Then I realised I'd seen it when the site was having problems.

to think the Mumsnet 'oops' logo is distasteful?

It's the logo you get when you get a 404 error (Page Not Found), not the official, logo, I think.

DistanceCall · 07/08/2019 15:47

Oh, and I think the toddler perched on the shoulder of the woman in the middle is giving us the finger Grin

KurriKurri · 07/08/2019 15:56

She's not dropping the baby, she's bouncing it onto her foot and then booting it back up again. Babies bloody LOVE that.

Bumbags · 07/08/2019 15:57

🙄🙄🙄

Lweji · 07/08/2019 16:07

I'm deeply concerned and upset that the woman on the right is holding a bottle.

Yes, I think she should be holding her breast out.

mumwon · 07/08/2019 16:11

its an inkblot Rorschach test - So what does it say about all you & your interpretations Grin (walks away with pen in hand writing up various comments -& carefully doesn't state her own opinion)

ErrolTheDragon · 07/08/2019 16:16

I'd never noticed that (hardly ever had a '404' error on MN) - thanks for pointing it out, OP.

It's not nearly as bad as the recent request for us to 'bare with them' while they fix the technical issues which have been besetting the site. (MichaelMumsnet has apologised and put his shirt back on).

Sewrainbow · 07/08/2019 16:17

Never noticed....

Pinkout · 07/08/2019 16:19

Never noticed this before, you’re overreacting.

HotChocolateLover · 07/08/2019 16:38

Definitely over reacting. I didn’t even notice that that’s what the picture shows.

PapayaCoconut · 07/08/2019 16:48

Ur right hun its discusting

Nice! A more subtle take on the "go back to Nethuns" line. However, it doesn't really work because you're not poking fun at the right demographic. I'm clearly a millennial snowflake. ❄️

I bet its now going to come up on the next BF/FF thread about how society has normalised FF

ScreamingValenta · 07/08/2019 17:01

I didn't even notice there was a falling baby on that logo.

DMPI · 07/08/2019 17:13

OP you pine cone. Get a grip!

BettysLeftTentacle · 07/08/2019 17:14

Not at all @PapayaCoconut. I can’t even come up with an adequate adjective to describe how fucking bizarre this thread is.

Procrastination4 · 07/08/2019 17:24

Get a life! What little you have to be worrying you.

Procrastination4 · 07/08/2019 17:25

P.S.That was to the OP!

TerracottaLeggy · 07/08/2019 20:15

Ninja baby? Seriously? You actually think that's possible?Hmm

Clearly either baby is levitating or mum is telekinesis-ing it to her arms, Carrie-style.

liverbird10 · 07/08/2019 20:52

Such drama.

Sparklesocks · 07/08/2019 20:57

I don’t think it’s meant to be taken literally

zeezee3 · 07/08/2019 21:30

Ummm I can't bring myself to care....

Lweji · 07/08/2019 22:29

It's not nearly as bad as the recent request for us to 'bare with them' while they fix the technical issues which have been besetting the site. (MichaelMumsnet has apologised and put his shirt back on).

Wasn't it a reference to baring breasts to breastfeed, instead of using the bottle?
And we could bare to bottle feed as well. The two are not exclusive.

ethelfleda · 07/08/2019 22:35

Whaaaaaaat Confused

CherubsRUs · 24/01/2022 17:49
