Given how horribly traumatising (and dangerous) it is to actually drop a baby? It hasn't happened to me, but it's my worst nightmare. This 'funny' logo actually makes me feel a bit yucky in the pit of my stomach.

I just thought to myself this morning "that Mumsnet logo with the baby falling down, did I really see that it was it a sleep-deprivation induced hallucination as I was up feeding last night?" Then I realised I'd seen it when the site was having problems.

to think the Mumsnet 'oops' logo is distasteful?

Haha @FallenSky you're a hero.

Spicylolly · 07/08/2019 14:27

I always saw that as a mum playing with her baby, throwing them up and catching them & It's just turned on its side.

LadyRannaldini · 07/08/2019 14:29

Does anything not offend you, and others of the easily offended brigade?

Onatreebyariver · 07/08/2019 14:30

Just because you find something offensive doesn't mean it is.

GoFiguire · 07/08/2019 14:33

It’s not a baby. It’s Boris Johnson.

PaddyF0dder · 07/08/2019 14:35

Well this is some over-sensitive safe space bullsh*t.

TheFastandCurious · 07/08/2019 14:35

I’m HORRIFIED it’s VILE I’m utterly DISTRAUGHT at this HENOUS act. DEEPLY DEEPLY offended I am.

Honest.

SnuggyBuggy · 07/08/2019 14:36

I can't unsee it now

EssentialHummus · 07/08/2019 14:36

I've never noticed it. Bit odd now you mention it but eh, whatever.

TheFastandCurious · 07/08/2019 14:38

Anyway, she’s not dropped the baby, the father is laying on the floor, playfully throwing the baby UP to the mum.

As you do.

SparklyMagpie · 07/08/2019 14:38

Haha I noticed this yesterday and I did catch myself at one point going " is that a baby being dropped" but then paid no more attention, more things to worry about

SparklyMagpie · 07/08/2019 14:39

Or or maybe the baby has just shot out and super mum is about to catch it?

Wishihad · 07/08/2019 14:40

Fixed it. You can stop worrying now, the baby is fine

Grin

OP, get a grip.

SnuggyBuggy · 07/08/2019 14:41

Maybe she's just popped it out and bounced straight back because she isn't first woman to give birth you know Grin

Wishihad · 07/08/2019 14:42

Actually I am concerned about the fake toddler that look like it's on its mums shoulders in the middle.

Quite a dangerous way to transport a child.

I once saw a man crossing the road with a child on his shoulders. He decided to cross quicker and start to jog. He went face first as did the toddler. Thankfully the toddler was fine. But I find the logo triggering.

Then again, maybe I can see it's just a drawing and no real children were hiry in ten making of the logo

Wishihad · 07/08/2019 14:43

were hurt in the making of the logo

Fucking slow phone.

Mummoomoocow · 07/08/2019 14:44

I saw it the same day that child was thrown from the Tate. Did upset me tbh.

Reallybadidea · 07/08/2019 14:45

Never noticed it before. I think it's funny. Thanks for drawing it to my attention OP.

denirosknee · 07/08/2019 14:46

@FallenSky GrinGrinGrin

I never noticed that's what the logo was before.

Now that I have, can I suggest we don't be too humourless and po-faced about it?

ShootTheRunner · 07/08/2019 14:46

I've always thought the logo looks like a cannabis leaf when it's small on the screen and you can't really make out much detail Grin

Babyg1995 · 07/08/2019 14:47

It looks like she's reaching out for the baby not dropping.only on MumsnetHmm

DistanceCall · 07/08/2019 14:51

I think everybody has dropped a baby, or a baby has rolled off a sofa, or bumped its head on a frame, or something like that.

Yes, accidents happen. And you're being ridiculous and obsessive.

Topseyt · 07/08/2019 14:51

Crikey, of all the things to get upset about!!

You are overthinking and overreacting. Big time.

HollySpice · 07/08/2019 14:52

Have a biscuit darling. Biscuit
