Is this test positive?

It’s quite early for me to test so quite honestly I don’t expect a truthful result yet but when you hold the test up to the light that I’ve just taken you can see a faint line.

I ovulated 25th July, I have a very unpredictable cycle which can sometimes be 49 days! I should in theory start my period in the next couple of days.

Could it be a positive?
When the test is in the shade or darker light it doesn’t look like there is a line at all to me? But definitely one when the light is behind it iyswim.

What is the MN consensus?

First photo is in shade, second with daylight light behind it.

I can see the where the line should be on the second one but that doesn’t mean anything - it’s not an actual line, just the line on the strip that will react to the hormone if detected, which it hasn’t because the first test is a negative. Sorry OP but I would say that’s a negative test. If you’re having symptoms or your period doesn’t arrive, give it a few days and retest.

I dont think its positive. The second one looks like a line but I think it's just because the light is shining through from behind and showing up the line of chemicals on the test strip.

No it’s just the line that would react if positive. You can also see the insides of the test, the light behind is that bright.

I can see a line in the second darker photo but not in the first.

I think negative but re-test in a couple of days. I have an unpredictable cycle and had a couple of negative tests before I got a positive because I just didn't know when to test from. Good luck

I dont think that's positive, sorry. You may well get a positive in a few days using early morning wee but on the first pic it's negative and on the second it doesnt look like a true line.

Did you use first morning wee? Since it's early to test, wait a few days and then try again.

No its not positive. The 2nd 'line' is just the line of chemicals that would change to be a much darker colour if pregnant.
However I would retest using morning urine in a few days time.
