Liking the boss?

My boss does not mix friendship with work. This week he said to me “You don’t like me, you only tolerate me because I’m you boss.”

I don’t know what I’m supposed to do to show that “I like him” without overstepping the non-friendship boundary.

Do you need to? Just don't worry about it.

You don't need to like him, and you certainly don't need to prove it to him. Just do your job, it's fine.
