We had our beautiful new very expensive (which is unusual for us. We’ve always been a budget family but decided to splash out) lounge carpet fitted yesterday.
They reused the gripper rods that were there. We were expecting this as the man in the shop said they would. He also said if any were broken or missing, that they’d have some on the van and charge us accordingly. This was good as we had previously had a big fire place and double doors removed so there would be 2 big expanses without rods.
Anyway the fitters finished and left.
It was only then that it occurred to me they had t charged me any extra.
On inflection it is obvious that they haven’t used any extra rods in these areas just glue. The carpet dips slightly where there are no rods but nothing major.
Do I get them back? Are gripper rods all round crucial?
Thanks for any advice!
