Absolutely devastated, lost my beautiful engagement ring today. Wondering if somehow Mumsnet can work her magic to help me find it.

Attached pictures here.

I went to Dowe’s Gym for an hour and then went to the metro convenience store next to the Subway. Attached pictures here also.

Please please please let me find it Sad

@rubyroot. I don't think that wines cheap - more expensive than most gins if my googling is correct

NoWayDidISayThat · 05/08/2019 20:38

Wowzers. That was fast.

TakeMe2Insanity · 05/08/2019 20:43

Beautiful thread.

EttyG · 05/08/2019 20:44

Whether real or not, I'm slightly disappointed it was found within 8 posts. I usually prefer a bigger build up GrinGrin

Amazing though. Well done both of you!

Bobbindobbin · 05/08/2019 21:02

I want to know how the wine tastes! I’ve never had wine that expensive before. Hope you have had a glass. Well done.

NoSauce · 05/08/2019 21:03

Oh come on now.

NoSauce · 05/08/2019 21:08

Yay!!!
I don’t care if it’s real or not, this thread has made me feel so happy

Utter madness. So if this isn’t real some made up story on the internet has made you feel so happy?

ilovesooty · 05/08/2019 21:19

People are really sobbing and crying?

Flibbitygibbit · 05/08/2019 21:21

Why didn't OP show a photo of said ring on her finger originally? Am just a tad sceptical, however if it's true , well done !

LokiCat · 05/08/2019 21:35

Omg!! OP I'm so happy for you and what an amazing find by @hardheadedwoman!

I lost my ring at Victoria station a few months after getting engaged (stupidly put it in my trouser pocket and forgot about it!). Reported it to TFL lost and found but didn't think I'd ever see it again. Got an email from them one month later that someone had found it near the ticket barriers and handed it in!!

No one ever believes that someone actually found it on the floor of a busy station such as Victoria, but it's definitely my crazy miracle story Grin

envelopeofpubes · 05/08/2019 21:41

stayathomegardener you should nominate this for classics.

Great thread. I believe.

Reallybadidea · 05/08/2019 21:43

Wow

CharityDingle · 05/08/2019 21:44

Hmm
snapcrap · 05/08/2019 21:57

I live in Tufnell Park at the moment and was going to say I'll look in the morning as I'm walking through Archway to go to Highgate.

I'd like to believe this, it's just the speed of the finder going on Mumsnet, seeing this post, then saying I thought I'd just have a look around and finding it all within about an hour??

Anyway even if it's fake who actually gives a shit Grin

Two people that haven't met, in this random situation have the same nails? Long nail bed, uneven length & tip colour 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

C8H10N4O2 · 05/08/2019 22:21

Lost and found within 21 minutes - truly amazing!

The finder must be the very incarnation of St Anthony. Which would explain the speed as well.

bouncingraindrops · 05/08/2019 22:21

@Surfingtheweb

The nails are not the same at all Confused

The Ring finder has no polish. The OP has scruffy leftover pink polish. Very obviously different. Like, totally not even remotely similar!

Hard to believe but the moral of the story is if you ever find something belonging to someone else, hand it in or try to trace the owner!! You never know what sentimental value that possession might have for the person who lost it.

Redglitter · 05/08/2019 22:26

Lost and found within 21 minutes - truly amazing

Its unbelievable - really quite literally unbelievable

RLOU30 · 05/08/2019 22:26

@Surfingtheweb

The nails are completely different.

Just noticed your post!
Scrolled to the end!
That’s such an amazing thing you have done hardheadedwoman! Not only returned something treasured but cheered me up and restored my faith in humanity!

Thank you from me as well 👏
