Amazon Prime video - parental controls

AIBU to think the Prime App is ok for setting restrictions for watching videos, great, pin required but then Ds can just go onto a tv series, which has the padlock icon and it will just let him watch it without entering the pin?

Seems that restrictions only apply to videos? Or am I doing something completely wrong?

Not sure where my AIBU sits within my thread, cheekily posting for traffic Grin

I’ve tested it and if I try to play a video it asks for a pin but doesn’t for a tv series!!

Yeh they don’t work as far as I can see. We actually closed off the account because we couldn’t get to grips with the parental controls and the fact all the kids stuff comes mixed in with the adult programs. (A lot of which seem to be crap soft porn films)

It’s really annoying!

Seems parental controls only work on the videos but not tv series etc

Shame!

Ds is quite sensible and I’ve told him the app is linked to my phone so I can see what he’s been watching.

For now I’ll tell him he can use it for movies only.
