I don't really get on with my in laws. We're very different people.
My DH never really sees them, maybe once a year max. They were never really there for him growing up and they don't have a close relationship at all, however, he still loves them obviously.
They want to come and stay with us for a week because there's an event on in our city (we live abroad.)
I really really don't want them to. They are not particularly nice to me and have said some nasty things about me over the years.
DH seems to think this doesn't matter and that I should just accept them with open arms.
He's very "forgive and forget" whereas I feel a bit like we're being used and not to mention it will be so so awkward.
I'll be on my own with them if he gets called in to work which is a high possibility.
