To think doctors should keep stock of important medicines?

I have just booked my appointment for my depo injection next week. They told me the injection is out of stock and they can't order it in so I have to go and get a prescription then go to the local chemist and get the injection before the appointment.

They said the Doctor can't order in stocks the chemist has to get it!

Is this now the case for this sort of medicine?

It's always been the case here. You have to get it from the chemist same with the coil.

I had to do that about 10-15 yrs ago.

I had to make an app at the drs, go in and get the prescription, go to the chemist and then go back to the drs with it and they'd give me the injection.

Get an implant, much easier 👍
