A very good friend of mine has just dropped off an invitation to his wedding.
The invite is for me only, no plus one and no invite for my ds12. I'm single btw and would be going alone. During the conversation, it turns out that another friend of his is taking her husband and dc ( also 12).
AIBU to decline the invite? My ds can be left for a few hours but not into the evening. It's about an hour away so I won't be able to have a drink or stay late because of dc, plus I really don't fancy being on my own for the day. Everyone else I know who's going has a role, bridesmaid or groomsman, and I'll feel really left out.
Any thoughts?
